Why exactly is the size of the belt so ridiculously long? 4 and a half feet is very large. Most men at a healthy waist size are usually less than a size 40. Why the large size? Could I order another size? I'm a little frustrated.

You can adjust the belt by yourself. The length of the belt is fixed. There is no other size for it.
